BOUND AND UNBOUND II: ALTERED BOOK EXHIBITION

CALL FOR ENTRIES
Hosted by the Art and Exhibits Committee, University Libraries, University of South Dakota
- Bound and Unbound II: Altered Book Exhibition entry is open to all. Entry is free. Artists may submit up to three works for consideration.
- Submit electronic files attached to this form readable on a PC and Mac, containing JPEG images for up to three works with one image per piece. Images should not be greater than three MB with the longest dimension at 1000 pixels and a resolution of 200 pixels per inch.
- Submitted application materials will not be returned.

SPECIFICATIONS Books may come from any source. All work must be original and executed within the last three years. The cases in which Bound and Unbound II will be displayed are 80" long, 28 1/2" wide, and 8 1/2" deep. The University Libraries reserve the right to refuse work difficult to exhibit due to excessive size, weight, or difficulty in presentation.
JUROR Karen Bondarchuk; foundation area coordinator and associate professor in the Frostic School of Art at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.
ACCEPTANCE Juror notification of acceptance will be sent by email starting March 25, 2013.
LIABILITY The University Libraries, on behalf of the University of South Dakota, will make every effort to insure the safe handling of entries, but does not assume responsibility for damage or loss. Works will be exhibited in display cases behind glass.
REPRODUCTION The University Libraries, on behalf of the University of South Dakota, reserves the right to reproduce entries for exhibition and publicity purposes to include, but not limited to, print and electronic media, for use on the University Libraries website, and inclusion in the Digital Library of South Dakota dlsd.sdln.net with a signed release.
SALE OF WORK Any inquiries for sale of work will be referred directly to the artist.
DELIVERY OF WORK Selected work may be hand delivered to the University Libraries’ Circulation Desk between July 1 - July 31, 2013. Works sent by mail to the Libraries must include a prepaid return shipping label. Entries must be accompanied by a copy of the completed and signed registration form. All work must be ready for display.
PICK UP/RETURN OF WORK Work will be available for pick up at the Circulation Desk starting December 27, 2013. Works received by mail with prepaid shipping labels will be returned in the same fashion starting January 4, 2014. Work that is not claimed after 60 days will become the property of the University Libraries, University of South Dakota.
