Handbooks and Atlases

Handbooks are compact reference sources that contain data and descriptive information. They are logically arranged and provide charts, tables, graphs, glossaries and detailed discussions. The majority of handbooks are compiled by subject specialists who know what kinds of information are needed the most. Expect to have several editions of handbooks, as that is the only ways of keeping them up-to-date. Handbooks are 2nd literature.
