Philosophy Resources: Finding books

What you need to know to do write philosophy papers and do research in philosophy at USD.

Search the Catalog for USD Resources

Search the Library Catalog  

  • On the library home page, scroll down past the picture to the black bar.
  • On the Black bar, find: Books and More
  • Click the Library Catalog link under the search box.
  • To do a quick search, leave the drop down value at 'Any Field.'
  • To find works written by a philosopher, from the drop down, select 'Author/Creator' and enter the name of the philosopher.
  • To find books written about a philosopher, change drop down to 'Subject.'

Browse the Shelves

Often it is easier to browse the shelves for inspiration.
