Welcome!

This LibGuide is set up to assist you in identifying key resources in the field of Mathematics subscribed to or owned by the USD University Libraries.

Mathematics Resources has been organized into literature types.  There are tabs contain different levels of chemical literature with an explanation relating to its relationship in the overall structure of scientific literature.  Basic scope notes explain what to expect from each type of resource. And tabs pointing to research tools to assist the research process.

Note to users: Resources in print format will have a call number listed.  All call numbers are for the third floor unless located in a different area in the library as indicated (such as REF QA 41.7 .T83 2004).  Electronic resources can be accessed by clicking on the link.

For a general review on becoming an informed science student checkout the Become an Informed Student - Science Information Literacy libguide. Learn about some time saving techniques, the structure of scientific literature, basic keyword and subject searching how to dos, resource and web evaluation clues along with how to manage your references during the research and writing process.  Scientific literature is divided into three levels or degrees (primary, 1°; secondary, 2°; or tertiary, 3°) indicating the distance the information is from the original work.
