Welcome

This LibGuide is set up to test where you are in the process of becoming an informed student.  The type and degree of scientific literature is related to the distance between the original research (lab work) and how the generated information is being presented.  Your ability to identify, use and negotiate the various types and degrees of scientific literature are a measure of how informed you are.

This guide is to re-enforce your Information Literacy lessions from your freshman/ sophomore years by providing insight into how science information is organized.  Additional information and tips providing time saving techniques when starting a new research topic.

The individual science related LibGuides are based on the category/degree and type of resources available to you here at the University of South Dakota. Each LibGuide lists resources (print and electronic) whether locally held or available through the Internet along with suggestions on how to use and why you would use these resources for your research.
