The Health Sciences Libraries provides access to ClinicalKey. Upgraded and expanded from MD Consult, this Point of Care research and "clinical insight engine" contains:
This resource is specifically designed to support physicians in evidence-based clinical care and clinical education, and also supports researchers and instructors with an included presentation builder for use with images and videos.
Filter by source type, study type, specialty, or date by using the drop down menus to help obtain your answers more quickly.
Presentation Maker allows you to use images from ClinicalKey in your own PowerPoint presentations. After registering and logging into your account, select images by checking the box in the top right corner of an image. Click on the presentation icon located between the bookmark and email icons. Select the presentation to insert the image into, or create a new presentation.
Note: to download book sections as PDFs, you will need to create a login and password.

ClinicalKey can be accessed from a mobile device, but users do need to authenticate by going first through the library home page (usd.edu/library) and enter ClinicalKey through the Databases tab. ClinicalKey does not have a mobile app at this time.

Save Searches or individual references for fast and easy access later. Click on the icon that looks like a bookmark with a star on it to save. Users may also email and print most reference material. Note: You must be logged in to be able to save searches. Users can create their own login and password.
Use the filters next to the search bar to search for known books or journals within ClinicalKey. Use the "More" drop down for additional options like guidelines, multimedia (includes images and videos), or patient education handouts.
