USD Information Literacy Lessons: Database

The broad focus of these lessons is understanding sources of information, including examples that can help you learn how to access information sources at USD. Each lesson is dedicated to a specific element of information competency.

Getting Started

This lesson is part of the University Libraries' Information Literacy Program. It teaches skills for using research databases to locate articles from newspapers, magazines and scholarly journals. This lesson will use Academic Search Premiere, a database provided by EBSCOhost, which has search features that are similar to those of other databases you can access through the University of South Dakota Libraries.
