Information Literacy Versus Information Technology Skills

Information technology skills are those needed to manipulate files and data using a computer. They consist of the following types of skills:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Technology competencies

Information literacy is the set of skills required to find, evaluate, and use information.
