The University Art Galleries (UAG) provides visual arts education for the University of South Dakota and broader community through rotating contemporary and historical art exhibitions, artist lectures, research programs, and multidisciplinary events. Comprised primarily of America art and art from the Northern Plains tribes, the UAG builds and preserves its permanent collections for the purpose of scholarly engagement and to generate an appreciation for the unique cultural characteristics of the region. The UAG is comprised of the John A. Day Gallery, Gallery 110, the Oscar Howe Gallery and the University Libraries Gallery.
