Language Teaching and Learning

IALLT is the professional organization "whose members provide leadership in the development, integration, evaluation, and management of instructional technology for the teaching and learning of language, literature, and culture."

The ILR coordinates and shares information about language-related activities at the federal government level. Its web site also has e-learning tutorials for teachers and content developers and resources for language professionals and students.

Supported by San Diego State University, LARC offers online resources including a YouTube channel and the Culture Café and Language Lounge, which connects language classrooms in different countries. LARC offers Moodle courses in various languages.

This center is a consortium of Georgetown University, George Washington University, and the Center for Applied Linguistics. It is active in FL testing, learning strategies, materials development and methodology, technology, professional, and dissemination of information on commonly and less commonly taught languages. Its site is especially helpful for higher-education FL instructors, who will find resource to develop skills in communicative language teaching and portfolio-based assessment.
