Proceedings/Meetings
Proceedings are collections of published research papers presented at a meeting or conference.

This type of literature is primary (1°) resources that are difficult to locate. Some examples are Dissertations, Technical Reports, Preprints/E-Prints, and Proceedings/Meetings. Consult Information sources in Grey literature, 3rd ed. (REF T 10.7 .A87 1994) for a detailed explanation.

Preprints/ E-Prints
Preprints are key players in the scholarly communication process within the sciences. These are research papers submitted for comment and review among peers, for publication in journals, or prior to being presented at a conference.
Dissertations
Dissertations and Theses are often considered unpublished original research work.
Technical Reports
Technical reports are accounts of research projects and investigations sponsored most often by governmental agencies
