This slideshow details the advantages of authentic, situated learning for students and faculty.  It also offers direction in creating situated learning scenarios that teach and enhance IL and critical-thinking skills.

Research-Based Proposal Essay

This situated assignment is a reworking of a typical Freshman Composition assignment, the general research paper or proposal essay.  It's been revised to include a context that gives students a reason for doing the research, i.e., writing required by post-graduation professional work.
