Making it sticky: Adding value to your digital library projects
Digital libraries need not be quiet or hidden treasures. Yet too often we have the belief that if we simply build it our patrons will come and view it. This session focuses on ways to make your digital library projects sticky.
Clicking on the "Classroom" link from the DL homepage will take you to an extremely well developed set of structured lesson plans to use in conjunction with the digital library.
This digital library comes with a teachers guide for how to use the digital library for teaching students about digital libraries and about information literacy while using books from around the world. The lesson activities are well thought out and work well in conjunction with this very visually stimulating DL.
To access the teacher’s guide, click on “using the Library” link under “the Library” header on the left hand side of the homepage. Then scroll to the bottom of the new
Teacher training manual that accompanies the International Children's Digital Library. This manual contains activities, lesson plans, and suggestions on how to make use of the content in the ICDL.
