The Digital Library of South Dakota (DLSD) provides online access to digital collections assembled by the South Dakota Board of Regents institutions and partners of the DLSD.

This link connects you directly to A Civil War Diary which is a hand written journal of every day life as experienced by a soldier in the Chatfield Guards, Company A, 2nd Minnesota Regiment during the War Between the States. This journal covers the period from June 1861 to August 1863.
