Scope and Contents

The Ruth March Egge Collection contains materials during her school days at All Saints School in Sioux Falls, SD.  The collection is composed of five series: Correspondence, Manuscript, Printed Materials, Photograph and Ephemera.

The Correspondence series contains letters from her father T.E. Egge and several friends.  Also included are fourteen unsigned, undated notes that seem to have been written during school days by one or two of Egge’s close school friends.  All the correspondence is personal in nature.

The Manuscript is a story that uses the names of flowers.  The author is unknown.

The Printed Materials contain souvenirs from Egge’s trip to Europe and All Saints School.  Also included are two newspaper clippings about All Saints Graduation Ceremonies.

The Photograph is a picture of an unidentified young woman who may or may not be Ruth Egge.

The Ephemera series contains a dance card and a few small drawings.
