The Andrew Berdahl home near Garretson (taken in 1925), where Rolvaag’s wife Jennie grew up, where the couple had their honeymoon, and where Rolvaag heard from Andrew and Jennie’s uncles many of the stories that went into Giants and other Beret Holm novels.
