The University Libraries’ Map Collection includes maps of current and past features of South Dakota and the surrounding states of North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and some parts of Wyoming. The Map Collection also includes maps of physical features such as hills, mountains, rivers, lakes, aquifers, and other wetlands, as well as human-made features such as villages, towns, cities, settlements, allotments, counties, reservations, trails, roads, railroads, land ownership, etc.
