Creating a Self Loading CD: Home

Creating a Self Loading CD

In order to make a burned CD load automatically, you simply need to follow a few easy steps.

First, you must download a few autoloader files.

You will need two files to make your CD load on it’s own.

1. Autorun.inf — This file tells the system which file to run when the CD is inserted, and must be edited.  To do this, first double click to open, then replace "Index.htm" with the name of the file you want to open automatically.  Be sure to save changes.

Please note: If you want to open a file located in another folder, make sure you use a relative path.

2. CDLoader.bat — This file loads opens the cd automatically.

Using the links, save both files to your computer.  You may need to right click and choose save link as. Make sure both files are put onto the CD that you are burning.  This may require you to burn the disc as a data disc.  The specified file should now open automatically when the CD is inserted into a computer.
