While some of the resources in this guide are freely available, most research databases and electronic journals and many online library services have access restrictions that require that you be a current University of South Dakota student, faculty member, or staff member.

Reference Services

Circulation Services
Community members and anyone who is not affiliated with the University may be eligible to obtain a free Community Borrower's Card at the Circulation Desk. A Community Borrower's Card entitles the patron to use the building including the computers, and check out library materials with his/her library account.
Request Non-USD Materials
Interlibrary Loan privileges are not extended to community patrons. Please use your local community library Interlibrary Loan to request materials (not owned by USD or your local library) from other libraries.
