Who is the author of the web site? Is there a link to contact the author? If you can't determine who the author is, you can learn who registered the site at www.register.com.
What do you already know about the author? Is s/he associated with an agenda? Is it mainstream?
Does the author have the expertise (as demonstrated by academic credentials in the subject of the web site) to give reliable information on the subject?
Does the author demonstrate knowledge of the subject and how that subject fits into its broader context?
Who is the Webmaster? Does s/he have links to organizations with an agenda?
