We will work with Power BI Desktop which is available to USD and Board of Regents (BOR) students and employees. Installing with your school Microsoft 365 Account gives you access to the Power BI Pro version allowing online publishing and collaboration:
A free version of Power BI Desktop is also available here and should be sufficient for the workshop.
Power BI Desktop cannot be natively installed and used on Mac devices. Paying to install Microsoft Windows on a Mac before installing Power BI Desktop is one workaround option for using Power BI Desktop on Mac devices. Using Power BI Service in a web browser is another option, but the analytical functionality is much more limited.
