Excerpt from The Bad Doctor, by Ian Williams
Graphic Medicine blends comics with dialogues about health care and medicine. Works of Graphic Medicine might be memoirs told from the patient perspective, or they might be fictional stories that illuminate critical aspects of health care and medicine. The goal is to center the human experience and ask questions that might be difficult to address using text alone. Research has demonstrated that Graphic Medicine has the potential to increase empathy and improve communication between health care professionals and the patients they serve.
