The Wegner Library is open to all students, faculty, staff and healthcare providers who are affiliated with our partner groups, patients & family members or visitors of a patient, or those actively seeking health information.
For the safety of our partners, you may be asked to show your institutional (school or workplace) badge at any time.
Monday - Thursday 8:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
Friday - 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Some badge-swipe access for student study during specific hours is available. Check with your program or email us.
Be sure to bring your school or hospital I.D. badge.
Refer to our blog for exceptions, or other changes in hours due to holidays or inclement weather. We are closed on state and federal holidays and observances.
Time limit: 4 hours. Time may be extended for up to another two hours if no one is waiting for a room.
Checkout limit: 1-checkout per day per-user with additional checkouts at the discretion of the library staff.
Reservations: Can be made up to 1-week-in-advance. Rooms will be held for 15 minutes before being relinquished to another patron if the party with the reservation has not checked-in. Please cancel your reservation if your plans change.

Wegner Computer Classroom (room 143): USD affiliates can book the room using the 25Live scheduling system. Partners can call or email the Wegner Library to reserve computer classroom 605-357-1400 or wegner@usd.edu A key may be checked out for access to this room outside of regular business hours. No Saturday reservations. No Sunday reservations outside of business hours.
Mary D. Nettleman Classroom (room 289): USD affiliates may schedule the room using 25Live or by contacting the HSC mailroom. No Saturday reservations.

Literature search: You may request a librarian perform a literature search for you using this form.
Curbside service: Short-term parking spaces are typically available outside the library. Please call ahead for physical items to be delivered to your car.
Accounts are typically activated within 1-2 business days. We will send you an email with your login when your account has been activated.

Access to desktop computers on the first floor are for Wegner Partners only.
Use your Wegner Partner or USD login to access the computers.
Partners may print from the desktop computers on the 1st floor of the Wegner Library and retrieve the prints from the front desk area printer.
Books may be returned in the vestibule dropbox (pictured above) or the library drop box located inside the second set of doors, near the circulation desk.
The library staff and hired cleaners will strive to keep the library sanitized and cleaned on a regular basis. The library cannot be guaranteed as a germ-free environment. Cleaning stations are located throughout the library. Patrons are asked to keep the library clean and to wipe up spills immediately.

Because our resources are limited, we need to keep these available to our affiliated partner groups, or patients and their family members actively seeking health information. If you do not fall into one of these patron groups, consider using the Siouxland Public Libraries.
